Hi, I have a large garden, approximately one third of an acre and it has a pre-cast concrete sectional garage approximately 6 metres wide x 8 metres long. With it being sectinal it can easily be dismantled and re-built.
The garage is sited 30 metres from the back of my house and on the boundary line at the right hand side and I wish to move it to the boundary line on the left hand side.
Planning permission was originally gained when the garage was erected some 20 years ago.
The reason I want to move it is it is on the wrong side of my property as my drive way is on the left. The surroundin trees are undermining the garage base and think it best to move it away from the trees. Both neighbours do not have any objections.

We have a small garden in our backyard in Wichita, KS and we plan on planting bell peppers and lettuce. Is there a recommended soil that we should use?
Any gardening advice is welcome, as this is our first time!

My Daughter will be 1 in May and HOPEFULLY by that point it will be Spring in London and we’ll have quite nice weather. We are planning a family bbq in our garden, complete with a marquee in case the weather gets bad but I wondered, what did you all do for your child’s first birthday?

I have the plans for a torii arch that I want to use to build one for my garden. Should the torii arch face a particular direction (i.e.north, east, south, west) or doesn’t it matter which way it faces?

One set of neighbours whenever they are in the garden they feel the need to communicate by shouting. They aren’t deaf. I don’t hear any of the other households nearby, two of which have kids. With all due respect to them they are nice enough but I know all their news and plans. They are audible in any of the rooms in the front of the house. Short of closing the windows and doors (which isn’t practicle in the summer) what can I do?

I have limited space in the garden bed I’m planning and I can’t afford to have the plants grow to the potential of 3-4 feet.
At the end of each fall, can I cut them down the the ground and just let them re-grow in the spring? I’m assuming that this will allow them to reach a growth of about 2 feet for the season and then I can cut them down again in the fall?

we would like to buy a cottage which is semi detached and overlooking farmland, however the living room is very small, but they do have a conservatory (part brick built) attached to one of the outside walls leading to the garden, I realise we would have to put up an rsj, but would we need planning permission to do the work?…thanks

My friends are planning a trip to bush gardens and I am invited. I really want to go but I know my parents will not let me. I am 18 so I think I can handle a weekend on my own. How do I convince them to let me go.

We bought a house within the past week and it has an 8′x8′ garden bed in the back yard and I really don’t want to tear it down so I came up with a brilliant idea. I am going to make it a garden for the homeless!! I plan to grow fresh fruit and vegetables and once they are ripe enough, I’ll take them down to the homeless. But I need help! I don’t know what to grow because I’ve never had a garden before and I have a lot of room to plant things. So any ideas of what I could plant or any ideas that I could use to make my idea better would be greatly appreciated!!
Oh! And another idea that I have is that my 16th birthday is coming up in December around Christmas. But the thing is, I don’t want gifts. I am going to ask people to bring a gift or canned food or coats and jackets for the homeless for Christmas. So ANY ideas that you have, I am all ears(or eyes in this case).
