I first saw it in the 60’s, maaaaybe late 50’s.
The title may be “The Fountain”. The poem describes a wonderful fountain with water spitting from various creatures (fish, dolphins, cherubs, etc.) (I think). The poem is written so that the printed words form an actual fountain. The description presents the fountain in great detail, then the last line is a kicker. (I don’t want to reveal it because when you read the poem I want you to be tickled the way I was.) I seem to recall it filled one magazine page. I may have seen it in “Better Homes and Gardens”, “Family Circle”, or some children’s magazine.

When I was younger we would go every year to the 3 or 4 blocks near this park to walk and look at the Christmas lights displayed on people’s lawns. AZ has a similar event called Glendale Glitters. Is there something near me (I’m in Garden Grove) or does this community still do the decorating?

I was speaking to salesman and my 4 year old was inside a garden gazebo next to me. I heard a crash and turned and the top figure piece of fountain was on the ground. This piece was so heavy that I couldnt lift it. There is no way that a 40 pound 4 year old could have bumped, pushed, or tripped over the cord that was going across the floor and toppled this thing unless it was not secured correctly to the top of fountain. I feel that we are lucky she didnt get hurt and the strore should take some responsibility. What should I do??? This happened in California… am I legally responsible?

We recently fixed our stone water fountain, and now we’re trying to get it working. THe pump we had was about 5 yrs old, and didn’t work. We’ve tried to get a new one online, but it only had one inlet for the water to go into the pump, and that got clogged in a matter of about 5 minutes. Since our garden has many trees, it’s almost impossible for us to keep the fountain 100% clean all the time to prevent clogging. Anybody know where to get a pump for a 15gal fountain, that has multiple inlets?

I like to create in my gardens.
My front yard has different types of roses, and evergreens adorning the front of the house. Last year I designed and built a nice little water fountain right under my livingroom windlow.
It is simple but it looks nice and sounds pretty when I sit with my windows open. I have landscaping lights on it and the water runs 24/7. I have flowers and plants surrounding the water.
Now my son in law bought me one and is very proud that he did.
I really like it and wanted one for so long. He had heard me talking of one and had some of it hand made.
I don’t really want to pull down my creation yet but I know that if I don’t attempt to put his up some time this summer he will feel slighted. It was expensive and he and my daughter saved for this in hopes to give me a great gift for mother’s day.
any opinions?

I have the petmate water fountain and i was wondering if the aqua garden for the drinkwell water fountain would work with this one?

I’m talking about the fountain of life in which if you drink of it you’ll never die. I think they made a movie out of it… I heard it’s located in the garden of Eden somewhere on earth.

It was pleasing, but then my husband brought home some pretty fish, and now the fountain must run to aerate the water. I had wanted to turn off the fountain for the winter as I put the garden to bed, but do the fish need aeration all winter, or will they go dormant as the temperature of the water drops, thus permitting me to turn off the fountain and stop feeding them?
