Any Books You Can Recommend For Indoor Gardening?
I don’t live in an area where I can have a big beautiful garden outdoors. So, I wanted to try and grow some pretty flowers indoors.
I plan on getting some of the long, shallow tubs meant to store clothing under beds, and I will fill those with soil and put my flowers in there. Hopefully it will work.
Are there any books you can recommend for indoor gardening?
If not, can I at least get some helpful hints?
Name Ideas For A Weekly/monthly Gardening Magazine???!!!?
For my Media homework, I have to design a front cover for a specific target audience. I’ve decided to do 40+ males and female, and for the idea of the magazine I’ve got a gardening magazine which comes monthly/weekly. I can’t think of a good name for the magazine and it has to be shortish and snappy and something that sticks in your head easily. I don’t really want it to be Gardening Weekly/Monthly and I would prefer it to have alliteration in it(doesn’t matter if it doesn’t though).
I’ve got two names but they’re kinda lame :
Gardening Group
Plants
As you can probably see by the quality of the names I thought of I’m kinda desperate ha ha!!
Thanks in advance, also the name I use gets best answer! xx
What “product” Would You Like/expect To Receive From A Gardening Consultant?
I would like to take jobs as a gardening or landscaping consultant, working with homeowners as clients. I do not want to take measurements/draw landscape plans. That takes too much time outside of the meeting/appointment. I feel many people just want to pick my brain and ask questions anyway. But I feel I need to leave them with something, written notes, a list of plants, etc. I want them to feel they got their money’s worth. What would comprise a good product? I’d like to make up a form or sheet to use.
Gardening Work – How Much To Charge?
I’m looking to start doing gardening jobs (I currently do this type of work for a local authority, as well as being NVQ trained, so have some knowledge what to do). I have a selection of tools and a trailer, and can burn the rubbish. The only thing is I’m a but stuck on how much to charge (I’m in East Anglia), obviously I need to make enough for it to be worthwhile, whilst I don’t want to set my prices too highly. Can anyone give some examples of what they think is reasonable, (particularly if you’ve recently had work carried out). Anything else I need to bear in mind?
Thanks in advance!
Gardening Hedges?
I live in FL and I see so many people with these round looking hedges and other cool shapes around their house.. what kind of hedges are these possibly? I heard there is like some sort of topiary where you design people and complex crap like that… NOT what i’m talking about. Basic hedges around the house border
What Is The Best Place To Get Gardening (not Commercial) Varieties Of Vegetable Seed & Plants?
I put in some broccoli last year, spending the whole year fighting off the slugs and pigeons only to find pathetic little florets all at the same time that bolted within a week.
It must have been a commercial variety that needs lots of fertiliser and inputs, and is designed to be harvested once and then ploughed up.
A garden variety can produce a reasonable crop with just a bit of compost, but most important can throw out a few florets over a long season, which are reluctant to bolt.
This system applies to many other types of vegetable – I find sudden harvests most annoying, since I prefer to pick a few for each meal, and the longer the harvesting period the better.

Can Someone Help Me Find A Gardening Tool I Saw In An Infomercial Some Time Back?
It was a long instrument and had something of a circular fork shape at the end. It looked like it was used for digging. The handle seemed like a unique design as well. It seemed like you push it down with your foot and a simple twist and it helps loosen the soil. I tried googling garden tools but couldn’t come up with what I saw on t.v.
It seems like a good tool for the type of land I am on. I want to grow a garden but the dirt is mainly rock. I have a bad back and would need a good instrument for digging. Thanks in advance.
Horror Movie Where A Slug Crawls Into A Man’s Gardening Glove And He Puts It On Without Knowing?
SO i saw this horror movie a long time ago, probably early 90’s. All I can remember from it was that it was inside some greenhouse and this slug creature thing crawling into a mans gardening glove. Upon placing on the glove the man goes into a fit and grabs his hatchet and proceeds to chop at his hand. I have asked many people throughout life and no one seems to know.
