PostHeaderIcon What Is A Good Choice Comforter Set For My Room?

Well I just repainted my room “pewter essence” or whitish-gray color and am in the process of buying a high quality comforter set (doesn’t matter the cost). I am thinking about a neutral/modern color comforter set and found some that works:http://www5.jcpenney.com/jcp/X6E.aspx?De…
This set look okay/neutral, but I am uncertain about the quality/comfort.
Or should I go all white/stripes http://www.amazon.com/Thread-Siberian-Co…
1500 thread counts Egyptian cotton (what makes Egyptian the best choice?), Siberian goose down (wondering how fluffy it is going to be, doesn’t seem very on the picture) (what’s the difference between Siberian and regular down?), and Bed in a Bag (I heard that bed in a bag are not so good quality comforter, is that true?)
or should I stick with the plain white http://www.amazon.com/Thread-Count-Siber…
I am mostly about quality and modern look that goes along with my walls and I rather have a well design comforter than a plain one. Which of the three do you guys suggest or what other choices I can choose from?

PostHeaderIcon What Are Good Activities To Do With A 3 Month Old?/ Reading Ect?

I may sound like all “new moms” but I really want to be the best mom I can be. I want to do so many thing with my little one but I’m afraid that she maybe to young. I read to her now but i’m wondering what I can do to make us closer and to be sure she is “average or above average” regarding development. Is that dumb? I just want to make sure she’s up to date wtih all her developmental goals, she’s not overweight and is constantly stimulated. My dad use to read to me ALOT when I was young and I’ve always loved to read as I got older. I hope to do the same with her. I just dont want to miss or forget anything.
I’m planning to take her to the botanical garden because, she like to look at the trees when we’re outside..lol I know I probably sound like a crazy new mom but, I just dont want to make mistakes or regret not doing something. I want us to be close and education is vital. Any suggestions on toys, entertainment or activities that might be good for us?

PostHeaderIcon Why Not Just Just Be Nice And Live A Good Life Without God?

God need’nt be considered in making a good choice right? After all, he could’nt even save us when we were in the garden, so wouldn’t that imply he simply cannot save us? Or that he is no longer relevent to our lives?

PostHeaderIcon What Are Some Good Perennial Plants And Flowers That Will Bloom For About A Month During The Summer?

I am planning on having a really big flower garden next year. I would like to plant some perennials, but I would want them to last for about a month, more would be better. I have already bought some gladiolis and some other different kinds of mixed bulbs, and these will bloom for about 1-3 monthes. What are some more? Any lillies or anything like that? I don’t care which type of perennial, but as long as it is nice.
Ps. I have a packet of snapdragon seeds and a packet of larkspur seeds that i didn’t get to plant this year, will they still be good for next year, so i can plant them then? Thanks in advance.

PostHeaderIcon I Need More Info About Claude Monet And I Want To Know If These Are Good Information About The Painter?

Claude Monet was born on November 14 1840. His Father Claude Adolphe was a business man and his mom Louise-Justine Aubree Monet was a singer. His father wanted him to go into the family grocery store business, but Monet wanted to be an artist. So he entered the Le Havre secondary school of the Art. He was converted to landscape painting by his mentor Eugene Boudin. Who derived his taste for painting out of doors.
When he traveled to Paris to visit The Louvre, he witnessed painters copying from the old masters. Monet, having brought his paints and other tools with him, he would sit by a window and paint what he saw. After two years in the African Light Cavalry in Algeria, He returned to Le Havre where he met JonKind. In 1862 he entered the studio of Charles Glevre in Paris where he met Auste Renoir, Frederic Bazille and Alfred Sisley, with whom he was to form the nucleus of the Impressionist group. Monet devotion to painting out of doors was illustrated by the famous story concerning one of his most ambitious early works, woman in the garden. The picture was 2.5 meters high which enable him to paint it, Monet had a trench dug in the garden where the canvas could be raised or lowered by pulleys. In England he studied works of John Constable and Joseph Mallard, he painted the thames and London parks. In 1871, Monet lived at Argenteuil where he painted the famous work of the Impressionist Movement. This was Sunrise, an illustration of the Le Havre landscape. The Painting had been hung in the first Impressionist exhibition in 1874. Monet moved to the northwestern suburb of paris in 1878, where he painted landscapes and seascape that had been campaigns to document the French countryside. The campaigns had been evolved into a series of paintings. From 1890 Monet concentrated on series of pictures in which he painted the same subject at different times of the day in different lights. As he continued to travel, visiting London and Venice, he painted two important series; one was the view of the Parliament and the view of Charing Cross Bridge. Monet attention was now focused on the celebrated water-garden he created at Giverny, which served as the theme for the series of paintings on water lilies grew to dominate his work completely. He had a special studio built in the grounds of his house so he could work on the huge canvases. On December 5, 1926 Claude Monet died from lung cancer. Through the claude monet foundation. People were able to visit his home and garden. His house is the main attraction of Giverny.

PostHeaderIcon Can Anyone Recommend Good Sites And Books For Beginner Gardeners?

When I say “beginning” I really mean “dumb as a box of rocks when it comes to plants and their care”. I do have a herb garden because I cook with fresh herbs daily, but my gardening service tends that for me and I just pick the stuff I need for the meal I’m cooking. I want to learn to do this stuff effectively by myself though. I tried some tomato plants last year that I bought as seedlings, but I got a gopher who promptly ate their roots. By the time I convinced Squint (what I named the gopher) to go away and find new tasty gardens to eat, the tomato plants were beyond saving. This year I want to try again, but I’m going to go all-out and start with seeds rather than seedlings, and I want to plant more than one type of plant.
1. Can you recommend any good sites, preferably with an active forum, that will hold my little virtual hand through the entire gardening process? I really do know next to nothing other than dirt+seeds+water = stuff grows. Theoretically, at least.
2. What are some good, easy plants for a beginner gardener? I’m going for a vegetable garden. I have the herb garden and several flower bed, but those are all cared for by my gardening service. I want something I can point to and proudly say “Look what I managed not to kill” and that will also give my household fresh veggies (we’ll eat almost anything here, so anything goes as far as that’s concerned)
3. What kind of supplies and/or tools that may not be obvious do you recommend I have? I already have bought the so-dorky-it’s-cool giant hat to keep the sun off of me and some little hand trowels and a little hand claw/rake. I *think* I have a pair of gardening gloves, but will buy new ones anyway so they match my hat. Anything else?
Oh, the area I have to work with used to have a storage shed on it and is trapezoid shaped. It is bordered on the North side by my house, the South side by a tall, wooden fence and there’s a dry sauna and a spa on the East side. It’s about 10 feet at it’s widest, 8 feet at the narrow end and there’s about 6 feet between the fence and the walkway next to my house. It does get good sunlight most of the day. I’m pretty sure that information is important.
Thank you so much for any help/suggestions you can give me! ☺
