I don’t want to spend money, though. I have all the tools. I and putting it under a tree. Yes, I know the roots will get in the way, but I’ll get rid of them. I want shade. And I don’t want a big pond. I want it to be… hmmm…. about 7-8 feet? In a circle-ish shape, I suppose. And about 4 feet deep, I guess. Very small. I’m planning to grow a garden around it. I have my cucumbers in a different location, but next season I’m going to move them down to the pond I’m making. I understand that they will be in the shade, I’ve got that worked out. Don’t worry.

Also, just in case you were wondering what the point in a pond that small is; it’s just for show. I might put fish (probably Koi) in it if that is a possibility…?

I want to make my mom one of those small garden/park benches for her birthday. She saw one before and she loved it. Its made of all wood, with (I think) wrought iron sides and legs. Its a very simple piece. Im not sure where or how to get the iron pieces though. I have searched online and all I can find is the bigger benches. What Im looking for is the type of bench that maybe children can sit on, but mostly for decoration. Its about 4 feet long at most and maybe 2 feet high? If anybody has any ideas, plans, or sites where I can copy one from I’d really appreciate it! Thanks so much!

I am interested in nutitional veggies, not perfect looking tastless ones. I used a well know flower and veggie plant food last year (Miracle Grow) makes nice flowers.The fruit did not taste sweet and the skins were thick and tough. I have added more garden soil and composted manure this year but I want something more to boost the crop in quantity and taste. Any suggestions? Or should that be enough? I am looking for a home made organic fertilizer, any tried and true recipes? I am planning on sharing what ever grows with family and neighbors. so I am hoping for a bumper crop. I am growing lots of tomatos,cucumbers, some watermelon,carrots,yellow beans,radishes,chives,parsley..oh yes flowers lots. I wanted more but ran out of garden darn!

Is there any book or tips I can get on how to take care of a large piece of land. Or should I convert the land into a big garden. I like to move to Northern Cali or Oregon. I hate this grind and city life that I’m in.

Lawn too small for riding mower. Cold be some light flower bed installation and maintenance. Prefer someone who enjoys gardens, knows flowers from weeds and has a good outlook on life.

If so, what is it like for you? How did you adjust? I have lived in cities all my life but I am dreaming of a small-town life. I like the idea of the peace and quiet, owning a house I can afford, having a garden. But, I don’t know how I would adjust. I am 32 years old and just feel ready to settled down. I am so used to traffic and being on the run. What was your experience?

can i use a reptile water fall cascading into a small rook pool in a cage for my birds (i have two budgies)
i am also wondering about getting finches mainly java and zebra (not to be kept with the budgies i know) so any help and advice is welcome
also i need help on designs of indoor cages and how i should go about building a proper avery/ birdroom for the garden like the legalities, designs and feutures that will make it look like a natural home

The planters had little flowers on them and the seeds grew in a clear gel that allowed you to see the germination process. I found a small planter from the set the other day and I would love to find an entire set. It included little tools to rake your garden. I think the main piece was a little house to grow your seeds in. There were also smaller planters to sit next to the main one. It was from Toys R Us and I got it probably 10-12 years ago. I really loved this toy and I wish I still had it! I contacted Toys R Us but they wouldnt help me. Any details would be great!
