PostHeaderIcon What Can I Do Today To Pass The Time?

I had plans to get in the garden and get rid of all the dead flowers etc. However, it is drizzly rain here so gardening is out. I am so bored. I hate going to the shops on a Saturday as they are too busy.
I am not in the mood to do housework.
Any suggestions?

You’re obviously on the right track as you’re passing your time with Answers as I am right now! Im gong to do some beading in a minute make a necklace with six strands of thread in a twisted herringbone pattern. Then I’m going to make plum and nectarine jam. Then read the Saturday Guardian. I’d love to go out but my husband’s gone to his usual Saturday treat football match and my disabled son would rather play on his Playstation and I can’t go out and leave him alone. The neighbours are all extremely boring and never pass the time of day and my friends live miles away – perhaps you’d like to come over for a chat and coffee and I’d show you how to bead. Love Gilly

I’m so sorry that your plans to garden have been delayed due to rain! Wish I could have you down here to help me in my garden; but it is still hot here in Florida and I’m expecting rain later on today.
You could make a rain gage, then set it outside to see how much rain you are getting:http://www.miamisci.org/hurricane/rainme…
You could carry some of your houseplants outside; let them take a shower in the rain.
Search your cookbooks or online for a new recipe that tempts you; then put on your rain gear, brave the drizzle, and go get the ingredients. Fix yourself a nice lunch or dinner, set the table nicely and use candles.
I know you don’t feel like doing housework; but maybe you could pick a drawer or cupboard, unload it, clean, then reload it.
Make this a ‘movie day’, spend the whole day watching old movies on TV or old dvds.
Go to the library. Spend time cruising the periodicals. Do a bit of research on anything that strikes your fancy. Check out a book or dvd.
Call a friend, write a letter, go visit someone or invite someone over for a visit.
    Cruise the internet.
Download some new music or play some of your old CDs: sing and dance to the music…;)
    Ask and answer questions here….;)

It’s a beautiful day today, and I’m going yard sailing! The community I live in has been planning a large community yard sale, and we have been advertising all over the county, so we hope for a big turnout.
When I get in the mood your in, I usually sit on the computer all day. I know that isn’t much help. The other day I got on Google Earth and visited all of the places I’ve ever been in my life, and a few I would like to go to. I killed a few hours, and was fun.

Hmm? You’ve covered all my ideas. I am finishing up some painting right now. Maybe you have a wall or two that needs attention. Or you can kick back with a hot cup of coffee or tea, bake some blueberry or cranberry bread and watch the Food Network or a good movie. Perhaps a book that you never got around to reading or call a friend you haven’t spoke to in ages. If all else fails, take a nap.

Surf the net. The internet provides an unlimited source for curious people. You Tube is a wonderful source for so many subjects. WWW. Tropicalglenn, com will lead you to playa and that is the opportunity to listen to music that was popular in the years past. Google searches are a bottomless basket for any interest that you have. Google Earth will take you to almost any spot in the world and set you down in interesting places that you have always wanted to see. I cannot see how anyone could suffer boredom in this day and age. Yahoo Answers is crowded with people who will answer any question that you might have. Just watch out for that Paul N down in Texas.

I hate ironing. In fact, hate is a weak word when it comes to my feelings on ironing. Each of the past four days, I spent about 45 mins. irroning. When I would hang up the pretty clean and pressed items, I actually felt proud.
I am also doing some research online for wills( for a friend).
And finally, I am making my bucket list. 1) swim with dolphins.
    That should be fun.

Reading a good book can really pass the time or watch tv, maybe a movie or drama series you may have. Try and get stuck into something and time will fly by :)

I would bake bread from scratch if it was not so hot here. Or maybe a pie.
Saturdays I usually phone my elderly aunts & uncle for a chat. They have few visitors.
